- Lens culinaris (Lentil,
Masura) astringent, cooling and anti-inflammatory properties helps in reducing
inflammation in acne.
- Salmalia malabarica Syn. Bombax ceiba (Silk Cotton Tree, Shalmali) is
astringent and cooling. It is also styptic and anti-inflammatory. Hence is
beneficial in acne & skin eruptions.
- Saurashtri (Alum) is a
good astringent, styptic and antiseptic. It is beneficial in superficial
infections, prickly heat, acne & ulcers.
- Aloe barbadensis
(Barbados Aloe, Kumari) possesses emollient, astringent, cooling and healing
properties and is widely used in various creams, lotions and shampoos. It is
beneficial in various skin disorders such as acne, sunburns, bruises,
dermatitis, etc.
- Vitex negundo (Five-leaved Chaste Tree,
Nirgundi) has astringent and anti-inflammatory actions beneficial in skin
disorders.
Usage:
Wash or cleanse face and apply a small
quantity of Acne-n-Pimple Cream over the affected areas, twice daily.
